Naima Hyver, Chef / Owner
Background --Naima was born in Azrou, Morocco, a city
in the middle Atlas mountains.  She came from a large family
of 10 children and was responsible for preparing meals for
the entire family.  In 1991, Naima met her future husband,
Greg, who was visiting Morocco during his summer break
with the Peace Corps, Guinea.  They were married and
Greg returned with Naima to the United States in 1993.   
They eventually moved to Santa Cruz, lived there for four
years, and have recently moved to Los Altos Hills.
Naima has always had a passion for preparing food.  After having two children, Naima returned to school,
attending the
Cabrillo College Culinary Arts program in Aptos, CA.  There, she completed her certificate.  
Naima also held positions as a sous-chef at Aptos-Seascape Golf Course and prep-cook at Seascape
Resort (Aptos).  Naima was put in charge of 400+ guests catering events at Aptos-Seascape and received
sterling reviews for the quality of her food and her friendly smile.

Naima has now embarked on her own catering company--Saharan Catering.  She recognizes a unique
opportunity to share her passions for North African food and culture with you at your next event!
